Johnathon is your average blue-collar worker in western PA. He works for the Commonwealth as an equipment operator. He is happily married to wife Amanda and lives in Franklin, PA  

Mission/Outreach/Evangelism is the work of the Church but many feel overwhelmed at the challenge. Coming out of COVID shutdowns and denominational discord, the time is perfect to refresh the call to reach your community for Jesus. Mission Ignition is a toolbox of outreach workshops available for your church to learn, grow, and reignite a passion for outreach.   With years of local church evangelism experience, evangelists Rev. John Zimmerman and Christine Zimmerman will to your church or district and lead the workshop(s) that fit your church setting. Each workshop is two hours long and perfect for an evening teaching event or put multiple workshops together for an all-day or weekend Mission Ignition event.  

This online course leads you to learn from John Wesley how to practice relational evangelism. You will discover that evangelism involves not only sharing your faith with others but also welcoming people into a community where they can grow in faith. You will learn that evangelism/mission/outreach requires developing relationships with those that we are leading to Christ.  Transforming Evangelism online two-week class will fulfill the continuing education requirements for renewal of Certified Lay Servant (one advanced course every 3 years), Certified Lay Speaker (one advanced course every 3 years), or Certified Lay Minister (one advanced course every 2 years).  Classes are scheduled throughout the year.

The Institute for Discipleship at Southwestern College offers certifications in several ministry-related areas. Certifications require just four courses of $125 each — a total of $500. These courses will give you a solid theological understanding to support your work, as well as practical knowledge from experts. All courses are taught by instructors who have years of on-the-ground experience in their particular ministry area. Gain tools to make a big impact in your ministry area and interact with other Christians from around the country who do the same kind of ministry you do!
